它如何运作
The open web is the app store.
IndApp is an independent catalogue of installable web apps. Every app here runs in your browser and installs straight to your device — no app store account, no downloads from strangers, no lock-in. We find the apps, check them continuously, and you install the good ones in seconds.
From the open web to your home screen
Three steps. No middlemen.
We discover
Our scanners sweep the open web around the clock for real installable apps — checking for a web app manifest, a service worker and genuine app behaviour, not just a website with ambitions.
We check
Every candidate is scanned, screenshotted and scored. Broken, misleading or risky apps never reach the catalogue — and edge cases are reviewed by a human, not an algorithm.
You install
Open the app and add it to your device in seconds. It gets its own icon and window, works like any app, and can be removed just as easily. Your browser keeps it safely sandboxed.
How we check every app
A listing on IndApp is not a paid placement — it is the outcome of a pipeline.
- ✓Found. Discovered on the open web or submitted by its developer.
- ✓Scanned. HTTPS, manifest, icons, service worker, install behaviour and redirects are verified technically.
- ✓Captured. Fresh screenshots are taken on desktop, tablet and mobile, so what you see is what you get.
- ✓Reviewed. Automated checks prepare the file; people make the judgement calls on anything unusual.
- ✓Monitored. Apps are re-checked continuously. If one breaks, disappears or turns suspicious, it is pulled from the catalogue within minutes — automatically.
Trust levels, explained

Frequently asked questions
What exactly is a web app (PWA)?
A web app is an application that runs in your browser but behaves like a native app: its own icon, its own window, often offline support and notifications. Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) are web apps that meet open standards for installability — the same standards our scanner verifies.
Is installing a web app safe?
Installing a web app does not give it access to your files or system the way a downloaded program might — it stays inside your browser's security sandbox. On top of that, every app on IndApp has been technically scanned, and we monitor apps continuously after listing. Still: trust levels are evidence, not guarantees, so check the listing details before signing in or paying anywhere.
Does IndApp host or own these apps?
No. Every app is operated by its own developer or publisher on their own domain. IndApp is an independent catalogue: we find, check, describe and monitor apps — we never sit between you and the app.
What happens if an app breaks or turns bad?
Our monitoring re-checks apps continuously. An app that goes offline, loses its install capability, or starts redirecting somewhere suspicious is flagged automatically and removed from the catalogue — typically within twenty minutes of detection.
How do I remove an installed web app?
Exactly like any app: long-press the icon on your phone and remove it, or open the installed app on desktop and choose Uninstall from its menu. Nothing else is left behind.
I found a problem with a listing — what now?
Use the report option on the app's page or the contact page. Reports go straight into our review queue, and takedowns are handled with priority.
